These baked apples are delicious and simple. They are rich enough to satisfy a
dessert craving, but low enough in calories to help you stick to your healthy
- 4 Rome apples, cored
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Grape Vine Trading Co.
pitted and dried tart cherries, chopped
- 1 pinch cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400? F.
Arrange apples in a small baking dish so they don't
touch one another. In a small bowl, combine the sugar,
walnuts, cherries and cinnamon. Spoon into the center
of the apples. Loosely cover with aluminum foil and
bake 35-45 minutes, or until just tender when pierced.
